The Facility

I've always wanted to say I own a "Facility" and now I actually have one! Here are a few shots of the new snake building. We are very happy with how it turned out, even though the final cost was about twice what we had originally planned for, it was worth it. Looking after the critters is much easier now, lots of space (about 2000 sq. ft), all the cages are easlily accessible and well laid out. The best part is it's right next to my house, so no commute!

We currently house about 200 adult snakes, the bulk of that being made up of Ball pythons. The rest are various boas, carpet pythons and retics and a few other python species. If you are ever in the area and would like to come by for a visit and talk snakes, I'm always here. Just give me a few days notice.

These are the Ball python cages. I found these great tubs that are the perfect size to house an adult female Ball. The bins are 2 feet wide 3 feet deep and 8 inches high. All we had to do was mount a window in the front and we had the ultimate ball python cage!

An interior shot of the ball cage. I really like the fact these bins are black. I think it makes the balls feels very secure, I have never had them feed as well as they are now.

One of several racks for the "sweater box" size Rubbermaids, ideal for raising up Ball pythons and boas.

One of the baby racks. We currently house about 400 babies with room for about 1000.

Another row of cages housing boas and carpets.
