Burmese
Python originate from Burma, Vietnam and Thailand, although nowadays virtually
every Burmese in the pet trade is captive bred, a true herpetucultural success
story. So many baby burmese are produced every year across north America,
no one in their right mind would bother importing burmese pythons from the
wild arguably the closest we can come to calling a species of snake, domesticated.

| Burmese Pythons come in a staggering array of color and pattern mutations prices range from about $75 dollars for a normally colored and pattern baby to several thousand dollars for the latest mutation. Due to space limitations I'm only working with and offering the albino burmese, arguably the most popular and attractive variation, an albino baby Burmese is a stunning animal, bright orange and yellow against a stark white background, incredible! |

In many ways, burmese make great captives they are calm and friendly, eat like pigs are easy to breed and beautiful to look at. Their only drawback being SIZE. Given enough time and plenty of food these snakes, especially females will routinely reach 17-18 in length and 200 plus pounds. Serious thought must be given to housing, food supply and weather you want to deal with an animal this size on a daily basis. Males will generally stay considerably smaller, most will end up in the 9 to 12 foot range with some (probably due to genetic makeup) capable reaching 14 to 16 feet. This years babies were produced from a huge 18 foot monster female, with a gentle sweet disposition.
